Edward Architectural Services Ltd is pleased to announce that Barry Armstrong has been promoted to Technical Director.

Barry, 30 who joined the Leeds based Architectural practice 3 years ago has worked on many medium to large scale redevelopment schemes including a £4m Leisure and Industrial scheme adjoining Elland Rd stadium in Leeds and Beswick, a £30m mixed use regeneration scheme in New East Manchester.

We are please to announce Chris Riley has joined Edward Architectural as an Architectural Assistant.

Graham and Barry both took part in an annual charity coast 2 coast cycle ride in aid of The British Heart Foundation. Their route started in Silloth and followed Hadrians wall to South Shields, they covered the 125miles in two days and were delighted to be able to raise money for such a worthwhile cause.

Edward Architectural demolish Blockbuster movie set

Martin Sheen and the film crew packed up just in time before our bulldozers moved in to demolish warehouse buildings which provided the backdrop to many scenes in Tom Hooper’s film adaptation of David Peace’s novel; ‘That Damned United’. We have been appointed as architectural consultants and project managers for this strategic site adjoining the Elland Road football stadium. More news to follow.

EAS have received press coverage following planning consent for a mixed use shops and housing scheme in New East Manchester incorporating our ‘DESIGN FOR LIFE’ innitiative.

EAS were also complemented on our architectural presentation to BEAM who Wakefield MDC have commissioned as a regional architecture centre to establish and manage a Design Review service for the Council.

‘The Panel applauded the willingness of the presenters to participate in the design review process and complimented the presenters for a cogent, rational, perceptive and persuasive analysis of the plans submitted, which they felt was rarely explained fully at Design Review.’
